YEREVAN, Oct. 14. /ARKA/. Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alain Simonyan and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) President Arayik Harutyunyan discussed today in Yerevan a string of issues related to Artsakh Armenians and Armenia’s plans to sign a peace treaty with Azerbaijan.

Simonyan presented details on his recent meetings with international partners, as well as details of his visit to Russia. According to both sides, high-level contacts between Armenia and Artsakh have never stopped.

The meeting lasted for two hours and the Artsakh colleagues got comprehensive answers to their questions, the press service of the National Assembly reported.

On 12 October Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan had a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to discuss the situation around Artsakh. The Armenian government did not give any details of that meeting.

On October 13 the Artsakh National Assembly speaker Artur Tovmasyan met with the Secretary of the Armenian Security Council Armen Grigoryan. Tovmasyan was quoted by the press service of the Artsakh parliament as saying that 'any attempt to consider Artsakh's future within Azerbaijan is a "red line" for Artsakh.'

Tovmasyan emphasized that Artsakh remains committed to resuming the negotiation process in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group with the participation of official Stepanakert. -0-
