YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. Armenia's defense minister Vigen Sargsyan had a meeting today with U.S. ambassador to Armenia Richard Mills, the press service of the Armenian defense ministry reported. It said the ambassador congratulated Sargsyan on the appointment as defense minister wishing him success in this position.

Thanking for the congratulations, Sargsyan highly assessed the Armenian-American cooperation in the defense sector and expressed confidence in its further successful development.

During the meeting the two men were said to have touched upon a number of issues in the field of Armenian-American defense cooperation and regional security. -0-
