Armenian and Indian Defense Ministries hold first defense consultations in Yerevan
YEREVAN, May 15. /ARKA/. The first defense consultations between the Defense Ministries of Armenia and India were held in Yerevan on Tuesday.
The consultations were held under the chairmanship of Levon Ayvazyan, Head of the Defense Policy and International Cooperation Department at the Armenian Defense Ministry, and Shri Vishwesh Negi, Joint Secretary for International Cooperation of the Indian Defense Ministry, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
It said the sides discussed the progress and perspectives of the Armenian-Indian cooperation in the area of defense, including military-technical cooperation, military education, tactical training of the personnel, exchange of experience.
Issues related to regional security were also discussed. Ayvazyan presented the reforms carried out in the Armenian Armed Forces.
A protocol on the results of the consultations was signed, which approved the plan of cooperation between the Ministries of Defense of Armenia and India for 2024-2025.
Indian Ambassador to Armenia Nilakshi Saha Singha and Military Attaché, Brigadier General Naveen Nijhawan were also in attendance. -0-
