YEREVAN, October 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said late on October 1 that Armenian air defense forces downed the fourth drone tracked  down in Armenia's airspace. "The fourth was also shot down. We will win," Pashinyan wrote on his Facebook page.

Earlier, he wrote that four  unmanned aerial vehicles were seen in the sky over the Kotayk and Gegharkunik regions of Armenia. 'The Armenian air defense forces have already destroyed three of them and are trying to track down the fourth one,' he wrote.

Residents of the northern districts of Yerevan and the city of Abovyan (the administrative center of Kotayk, bordering the capital) heard a strange rumble in the sky, repeated twice. After some time, the press secretary of the Armenian defense ministry  Shushan Stepanyan said that the air defense forces hit the enemy's drone over Kotayk region.

In an earlier Facebook  Shushan Stepanyan reported about new artillery shelling and the use of drones in the territory of Armenia by Azerbaijan.

"The enemy used artillery in the direction of the village of Shatvan in the Gegharkunik region of Armenia. It  also used an UAV to attack the settlement of Mets Masrik in Gegharkunik, as a result of which Gevork Vardanyan,  born in 1967, was killed and two other citizens were wounded," Stepanyan wrote.

According to her, air defense forces destroyed three UAVs in the region, including the drone that struck Mets Masrik. -0-
