YEREVAN, September 9./ARKA/.. The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) responded to a Russian TASS news agency's report stating that "Pakistan plans to recognize Armenia as a UN member state, which would grant it the "green light" to join the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU)."
"We would like to inform those who are misinformed that diplomatic relations have already been established between Armenia and Pakistan in line with the fundamental principles of the UN Charter. Therefore, the topic of "recognition in the UN" is not on the agenda," stated Ani Badalyan, press secretary of the Armenian MFA, in response to an inquiry from Armenpress.
Badalyan emphasized that as Armenia and Pakistan enhance their bilateral cooperation, they will also address matters of collaboration in multilateral forums, whether it be the SCO, the EAEU, or any other mutually beneficial organization.-0-
