"The railway, which is to be opened, reconstructed, or built, linking Armenia and Azerbaijan, is attracting considerable attention. US interest includes both an economic component and political significance," Mirzoyan noted, answering questions from participants at the Orbeli Forum, titled "Establishing Peace and Multilateral Cooperation," on Wednesday.
According to him, an Armenian-American company will likely be established to implement the TRIPP route, construct the railway, and handle its day-to-day management.
"This does not imply American control over the infrastructure—all issues related to sovereignty and jurisdiction have been resolved. Tehran and Moscow have not expressed any concerns on this issue; both Iran and Russia are interested in this interconnectedness." “A point of balance has been created that is beneficial to everyone,” Mirzoyan said.
