Armenian Foreign Minister and EU Special Representative discuss efforts to strengthen Armenia-EU cooperation
YEREVAN, November 18. /ARКА/. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Magdalena Grono, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, discussed Tuesday the Armenia-EU partnership agenda.
The two sides emphasized that the significant achievements recorded to date in various areas reflect the partnership's dynamic development, depth, and richness, the Armenian Foreign Ministry press service reported.
It said Mirzoyan and Grono discussed upcoming programs and efforts to expand the partnership agenda with new initiatives, including efforst to strengthen Armenia's resilience
They also exchanged views on regional issues.
In the context of expanding transport and economic connectivity, they emphasized the importance of aligning the EU's Global Gateway program with Armenia's Crossroads of Peace initiative, and discussed steps for their implementation.
The meeting also included an exchange of views on efforts to maximize the opportunities created by the peace reached as a result of the August 8 agreements between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington. -0-
