YEREVAN, April 6. /ARKA/. Armenia should boycott the Eurasian Economic Union prime-ministerial summit, said Hrant Bagratyan, a former Armenian prime minister and an opposition MP.

The Russian government’s press office reported yesterday that Russian and Armenian prime ministers Dmitry Medvedev and Hovik Abrahamyan, in their phone talk, have discussed Kazakhstan’s proposal to convene a meeting of Eurasian intergovernmental council in Moscow the next week, though it was decided earlier that the meeting will be held Yerevan.

Bagratyan voiced his discontent with the Armenian authorities’ foreign policy stressing that it is too soft.
He called on Hovik Abrahamyan, the prime minister, not to attend the Eurasian Economic Union's meeting.

»I think that the Eurasian Economic Union members should have come to Armenia to support us instead of moving the session to Moscow,» he said. «Tigran Sargsyan, the chairman of the Eurasian Economic Commission, who was nominated to this position by Armenia, should boycott this session, as representative of our country, We should say our resolute 'No' to make everybody respect us.» --0---
