YEREVAN, September 13. /ARKA/. At Armenia's initiative, a special meeting of the OSCE Permanent Council will be held at 7 p.m. (local time) on Tuesday, according to Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan.

Armenia’s request comes following a massive attack against Armenia’s sovereign territory by Azerbaijani military today morning.

According to the Armenian Defense Ministry, the situation in some parts of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remained extremely tense as of 2 p.m.

On September 13, at 00:05, Azerbaijani Armed Forces started intensive shelling of Armenian positions using artillery and large-caliber guns in the direction of Sotk, Vardenis, Goris, Kapan, Artanish, Ishkhanasar.

The enemy also used UAVs. Azerbaijani units in some sections of the Armenian border attempted to advance into Armenian territory, but retreated after Armenian Armed Forces retaliation. According to preliminary data, 49 Armenian servicemen were killed in the fighting and three civilians were wounded. -0-
