Armenia and UK discuss expansion of defence cooperation

YEREVAN, 1 August. /ARKA/. Lieutenant General Eduard Asryan, Chief of General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, met with General Roland Walker, Chief of General Staff of the British Army, in London.

"The existing framework of cooperation between the two states in the field of defence and the possibilities of its further development and expansion were discussed," the press service of the Armenian Defence Ministry said.

The report noted that in London, the delegation led by Asryan took part in an annual conference on land warfare issues.

The conference was organised under the auspices of the UK's Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and was aimed at studying the threats existing in land warfare, possible ways to combat them, as well as getting acquainted with partner solutions in this direction and the latest military-political and industrial developments.-0-
