Armenia and Turkmenistan sign a set of cooperation agreements

Following the talks between the presidents of Armenia and Turkmenistan in Yerevan today, presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a number of documents designed to deepen bilateral cooperation in a number of spheres.
YEREVAN, August 24. /ARKA/. Following the talks between the presidents of Armenia and Turkmenistan in Yerevan today, presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a number of documents designed to deepen bilateral cooperation in a number of spheres.
Cooperation agreements were signed between the Institute of Geophysics and Engineering Seismology of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia and the Institute of Seismology and Atmospheric Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, between the Yerevan State University and the State University of Turkmenistan, between the National Agricultural University of Armenia and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
An agreement was signed also between the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs of Armenia and the State Sports Committee of Turkmenistan, as well as a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of sports. The sides signed also an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of tourism as well as a program on cooperation in the sphere of culture and art for 2018-2020.
The Financial Monitoring Center of the Central Bank of Armenia will cooperate with the Ministry of Finance of Turkmenistan in the sphere of intelligence exchange on issues of money laundering and terrorist financing.
The Diplomatic School of the Armenian Foreign Ministry and the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. The foreign ministries of the two countries also signed the Cooperation Program for 2018-2019. -0-
