Armenia has applied to the European Union for a third assistance package from the European Peace Facility, stated RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Armenia has applied to the European Union for a third assistance package from the European Peace Facility, stated RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
"The Republic of Armenia has already received the second support package from the European Peace Facility. We have already applied for a third," Mirzoyan noted at a meeting of the parliamentary committee on foreign relations on Monday.
On January 30, 2026, the European Council approved a second assistance package for Armenia in the amount of €20 million under the European Peace Facility.
The first assistance of €10 million was provided in July 2024 to enhance the logistical capabilities of the Armenian Armed Forces and strengthen the protection of civilians in crises and emergency situations. This brings the total amount of support to Armenia under this package to €30 million.
