Armenia and the United States to create a consortium to implement the TRIPP project
YEREVAN, October 3. /ARKA/. Armenia and the United States plan to create a consortium – a company that will become the builder and primary operator of the railway connection as part of the "Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity" project, announced Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.

"This consortium, in turn, may engage a third company or companies to perform certain work or provide certain services along the entire route. Furthermore, the consortium may also be involved in the construction and subsequent operation of pipelines, power lines, etc.," he said in an interview with the Polish television channel TVP World.

According to the minister, the Armenian side must now coordinate technical solutions and details regarding the route and this company with the visiting US delegation.

"We have already begun negotiations with our American partners. "I think we'll be able to complete this process in the coming months, and then construction can begin," he explained.

Therefore, according to Mirzoyan, all agreements will be mutual. "For example, we also plan to use the territory of Nakhchivan for a railway connection between northern and southern Armenia. Currently, such a railway connection does not exist," he explained.

The agreement on the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project was reached between the leaders of Armenia, the United States, and Azerbaijan and was enshrined in a trilateral declaration signed in Washington on August 8.
