Armenia and the United States are working on an intergovernmental agreement that will define the legal mechanisms for implementing the TRIPP project, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Armenia and the United States are working on an intergovernmental agreement that will define the legal mechanisms for implementing the TRIPP project, said Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
"Negotiations on the project are continuing as usual; they have not slowed down and are proceeding in a natural manner. The next step should be the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement that will provide for legal mechanisms. Therefore, work is currently underway on the document," Mirzoyan said at a briefing on Monday.
Commenting on Iran's position, the minister noted that Yerevan provided Tehran with the necessary information, after which the Iranian side publicly stated its absence of concerns.
"We are talking exclusively about the transport project, which will create economic opportunities for Armenia, Azerbaijan, and all its neighbors, including Iran," Mirzoyan emphasized.
