Armenia and EU identify cooperation priorities within new Partnership Mission
YEREVAN, August 17. /ARКА/. Lilit Makunts, Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, met with Cosmin Dinescu, Head of the European Union Partnership Mission to Armenia, the government press service reported.
Makunts welcomed the launch of the mission and emphasized the importance of EU support in strengthening the resilience of Armenia's state institutions.
During the meeting, they discussed priority areas of cooperation within the mission's mandate. The Prime Minister's Chief of Staff emphasized the importance of coordinated engagement of relevant government agencies and capacity development in the areas outlined in the mandate.
The parties also exchanged views on the future organization of cooperation and ensuring its effective coordination.
The EU Partnership Mission to Armenia was established on April 21, 2026, at the request of the Armenian authorities and began its work on July 13. Its two-year mandate includes providing advisory and expert support to Armenian government agencies in countering cyber threats, foreign information interference, and illicit financial flows.-0-
