YEREVAN, July 16. /ARKA/. The preliminary signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan is being discussed, said Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"We have been negotiating with Azerbaijan on how to move forward, what kind of roadmap there could be. The idea of preliminary signing is also on the table and on the agenda. This is one of the options under discussion in the "negotiation menu," he said at a press conference on Wednesday.

According to the prime minister, this is not the only option.

"Under certain conditions, it may be acceptable, under certain conditions - be realistic, under certain conditions - be less realistic," he said.

At the same time, Pashinyan assured that the Armenian authorities have not missed and are not missing a single opportunity to move towards signing a peace treaty.

"Let me remind you - with an indisputable calculation of sovereignty, territorial integrity, jurisdiction of the state interests of the Republic of Armenia. But on the other hand, we must understand that the world is dynamic, and we must approach it flexibly, be attentive, so that it does not suddenly turn out that we look and do not see existing opportunities," he emphasized.

As the Armenian Foreign Ministry reported earlier, at a meeting in Abu Dhabi on July 10, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev agreed to continue bilateral negotiations and confidence-building measures between the two countries. They noted the progress in the border delimitation process and instructed the relevant state commissions to continue practical work in this direction.-0-
