Truck with liquefied natural gas burns in Vayots Dzor

A fuel truck transporting about 3 tons of liquefied natural gas caught fire in Vayots Dzor province on August 16 and burnt, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said today.
YEREVAN, August 17. /ARKA/. A fuel truck transporting about 3 tons of liquefied natural gas caught fire in Vayots Dzor province on August 16 and burnt, Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations said today.
According to it, the incident occurred at 14:58 p.m. near the town of Vayk. Two crews of firefighters were sent to the scene who managed to localize the burning truck at 17:14 and extinguish the fire hours later. The truck, the liquefied gas, about 1000 square meters of vineyard and 1 hectare of grass cover were burned.
The driver, born in 1973, was hospitalized to Yeghegnadzor Medical Center, where doctors assessed his condition as satisfactory. -0-
