EEU to create a body to investigate aviation accidents

Eurasian Economic Union’s member countries will create a body that will be dealing with the investigation of aviation accidents, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday during a meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council in the Armenian capital Yerevan.

Eurasian Economic Union’s member countries will create a body that will be dealing with the investigation of aviation accidents, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Tuesday during a meeting of the Eurasian intergovernmental council in the Armenian capital Yerevan.
Medvedev said at the previous meeting the countries had taken a number of important decisions and raised the question of aviation accidents investigation.
‘We are planning to create an independent body that will objectively and impartially investigate such incidents taking into account the close integration of the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union," Medvedev said.
Armenia became a full-fledged member of the Eurasian Economic Union on January 2, 2015. Currently, the organization also includes Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting in Yerevan, the heads of the EEU governments discussed a string of issues concerning functioning of domestic markets, trade, agriculture, energy and infrastructure. -0-
