YEREVAN, June 17. /ARKA/. Armenia's Ministry of Emergency Situations said an earthquake was recorded 8 km north-west of the village of Yelpin in Vayots Dzor province at 10:42 am local time on June 17.
It quoted the Seismic Protection Service as saying that the focus of the quake was located at a depth of 10 km, while the strength of the tremor in the epicenter zone was 3-4 points.
The earthquake of 2-3 points was felt in the villages of Zangakatun and Lanjar in the neighboring Ararat province. -0-
