Earthquake with a shaking intensity of 4.0 points struck Armenia-Azerbaijan border region.
YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. On Friday, August 22, an earthquake with a shaking intensity of 4.0 points on Richter scale at its epicenter was recorded in Armenia, close to the border with Azerbaijan.
The Armenian seismological network detected a tremor measuring 3.2 in intensity at 15:03 local time (11:03 GMT), located 19 km south of Noyemberyan, as reported by the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
The earthquake was felt in the towns of Noyemberyan, Ijevan, Berd, Voskepar, Achajur, and Koti in the Tavush region, registering an intensity of 3.0 points, as well as in the towns of Alaverdi, Stepanavan, and the villages of Dsegh, Lorut, and Teghut in the Lori region, where the intensity ranged from 2 to 3.0.-0-
