Bomb threat in Yerevan appears to be false

An anonymous call that a bomb was planted in the building of the Armenian ministry of transport, communications and information technology in downtown Yerevan turned out to be false, Colonel Armen Badalyan, a senior official of the emergency situations ministry said.
YEREVAN, September 1. /ARKA/. An anonymous call that a bomb was planted in the building of the Armenian ministry of transport, communications and information technology in downtown Yerevan turned out to be false, Colonel Armen Badalyan, a senior official of the emergency situations ministry said.
The call was received by police at 10:25 am today. A special group of police with a bomb-sniffing dog and rescuers searched the building finding no bomb.
"The whole building has been searched and nothing suspicious has been found, employees have returned to their workplaces," Badalyan told reporters.
A fire engine and an ambulance left and the cordon of the building was removed. -0-
