YEREVAN, March 2. /ARKA/. Azerbaijani armed forces on February 28 and March 1 opened fire in the direction of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) residents carrying out agricultural work in the Martuni region, Artsakh Interior Ministry reported in a Facebook post.

"On February 28, at around 16:55, the 53-year-old farmer A. Avanesyan from Murishen village of Martuni region was carrying out agricultural work on a John Deere tractor in the area called "Asphalten Tak" in the administrative territory of Berdashen village. Azerbaijani soldiers used various caliber firearms to fire at the tractor, making the famer stop the work," the report says.

It is reported that on March 1, at about 14:00, the 59-year-old S. Vardanyan from Berdashen community, was carrying out agricultural work on his tractor "Belarus" in the area called "Davala. Fire was opened at the tractor from neighboring Azerbaijani military positions, as a result of which the agricultural work was stopped.

The Artsakh police prepared a report on the incidents and handed it over to the Russian peacekeeping contingent. -0-
