On Friday, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Martin Eurnekian, Executive Director of the Argentine company Corporación América S.A., signed the fifth amendment to the concession agreement for the management of Zvartnots International Airport.
YEREVAN, January 23. /ARKA/. On Friday, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Martin Eurnekian, Executive Director of the Argentine company Corporación América S.A., signed the fifth amendment to the concession agreement for the management of Zvartnots International Airport.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the amendment was approved the previous day at a cabinet meeting. The document provides for an extension of the trust management period for the Yerevan airport until 2067, as well as an investment of $425 million by the concessionaire.
During the event, the parties noted the importance of the negotiations on the fifth amendment to the concession agreement. Grigoryan emphasized the importance of implementing Corporación América S.A.'s investment programs in key sectors of the Armenian economy.
The company's projects related to the former building of the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Republic Square in Yerevan were also touched upon (in 2012, it was acquired by Eduardo Eurnekian's company "Tango" for the purpose of renovating it into a hotel - ed.).
