Yerevan to build new irrigation networks worth 1 billion 81 million drams
YEREVAN, July 28. /ARKA/. Construction of new irrigation networks worth 1 billion 81 million drams will be carried out in a number of areas in Yerevan, said Kamo Areyan, adviser to the capital's mayor.
"Currently, design and estimate documents have been ordered and are ready for the construction of new irrigation networks in 5 areas - Yeghvard Highway, Paronyan and Proshyan Streets, Gulbenkyan (in full), Charents and adjacent areas, and Azatutyan Avenue. The work will be carried out on about 15 km," Areyan said at a working meeting of the mayor's office on Monday.
He said that these projects are ready, the examination will be fully completed in a week and discussions can begin.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan criticized those responsible for their inappropriate attitude towards the gardens, as a result of which some of them dried up, calling for them to be watered.
