Industrial output in Armenia decreased by 12.1% over the past six months to 1.2 trillion drams
YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. From January to June of 2025, the industrial output in Armenia amounted to 1,257,746.6 million drams (in current prices), which is a 12.1% decrease compared to the same period in 2024, the National Statistical Committee said.
The industrial output in June was 226,899.7 million drams, which is a 1.2% decline compared to June 2024 and a 2.5% increase compared to May 2025.
In the first half of this year, the output in the mining industry and open-pit mines amounted to 221,777.4 million drams (an increase of 0.6% compared to the first half of 2024), while the manufacturing industry's volume amounted to 839,963.6 million drams (a 19.1% decrease).
The electricity, natural gas, steam, and purified air supply sector was 180,897.5 million drams (an 11.5% increase), while the water supply, sewerage, waste management, and recycling sector was 15,108.1 million drams (a 1.1% increase).
From January to June of 2025, the manufacturing industry accounted for the largest share of industrial production at 66.8%. Mining and open-pit mining accounted for 17.6% of the total, while the electricity, gas, steam, and purified air supply sector accounted for 14.4%.
