Veolia Jur explains transition to 17-hour water supply schedule in Armenia (EXCLUSIVE)

In a comment to ARKA news agency, «Veolia Jur» explained the reasons for the transition to a 17-hour water supply schedule in the country from May to mid-September of this year.
YEREVAN, February 24. /ARKA/. In a comment to ARKA news agency, "Veolia Jur" explained the reasons for the transition to a 17-hour water supply schedule in the country from May to mid-September of this year.
"The transition to this schedule is being implemented to ensure uninterrupted water supply during the day and is due to the increased water consumption in the summer months due to rising temperatures," the company noted.
According to the schedule published on the Veolia Jur website, from May 1 to September 16, 2026, drinking water will be supplied to customers in 12 districts of Yerevan and all regions of Armenia from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM (17 hours per day). The addresses of these customers are listed on the website. The rest of the year, water supply will be provided around the clock, the company reported.

"Veolia Jur" CJSC, a subsidiary of the French company Veolia Generale des Eaux, is the sole operator of water supply and wastewater services in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia. Since January 1, 2017, Veolia Jur has managed the assets of five companies: Yerevan-Jur, Armvodokanal, Shirak Vodokanal, Lori Vodokanal, and Nor Akunk, under a 15-year concession agreement.
According to the terms of the license, "Veolia Jur" has the right to initiate annual tariff revisions.
