Trade turnover of EEU countries in 2021 exceeded $73 billion – Mishustin
YEREVAN, October 21. /ARKA/. Last year, the trade between members of the Eurasian Economic Union (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) exceeded $73 billion, which is almost 33% higher than in 2020, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan today.
"If we talk about food products, agricultural raw materials, the growth was about 21%. The physical volume of mutual supplies increased by 11%,'. he said.
Mishustin also noted that the Russian ruble remained the main currency of settlements and was used for 72% of payments.
This year Armenia has become a leader in the growth of mutual trade in the EEU, said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to Mishustin, the trade turnover between Armenia and its EEU partners more than doubled in seven months compared to the same period last year, and the figure will be even higher by the end of the year. -0-
