The service sector in Armenia in January-February 2026 amounted to 630,310.5 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 7.2% compared to January-February 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, April 8. /ARKA/. The service sector in Armenia in January-February 2026 amounted to 630,310.5 million drams (at current prices), an increase of 7.2% compared to January-February 2025, according to the Statistical Committee.
In February 2026, this figure amounted to 312,319.0 million drams, a 7.0% increase compared to February of the previous year, and a 1.7% decline compared to January of the same year. In the overall structure of the service sector, the largest share (32%) falls to the share of financial and insurance activities - the volume of this segment according to the results of January-February of this year amounted to 201,535.0 million drams, with an increase of 0.9% compared to January-February of last year.
The service sector segments are further distributed as follows:
information and communications: share - 20.4%, volume - 128,383.0 million drams, growth - 6.5%
transport: share - 11.8%, volume - 74,583.4 million drams, growth - 16.3%
accommodation and catering: share - 8.4%, volume - 53,289.7 million drams, growth - 12.5%
culture, entertainment and recreation: share - 7.8%, volume - 49,135.5 million drams, growth - 12.6%
professional, scientific and technical activities: share - 4.7%, volume - 9,577.7 million drams, growth - 16.7%
healthcare and social security: share - 4.3% (volume 26 AMD 892.5 million, a 2.9% increase.
Real estate-related activities: 3.9% share (volume: AMD 24,421.0 million, an 8.0% increase).
Administrative and support activities: 3.4% share, volume: AMD 21,508.3 million, an increase of 20.4%.
Education: 2.5% share, volume: AMD 15,834.9 million, a 2.6% decrease.
Other services accounted for 0.8% (volume: AMD 5,149.5 million, an increase of 16.9%). ($1 = AMD 376.32)
