YEREVAN, February 12. /ARKA/. Iranian capital Tehran is hosting this week a regular meeting of the Armenian-Iranian intergovernmental commission to be chaired by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Iranian Vice President Davoud Manzoor.

"I am convinced that within the framework of the meeting we will have an opportunity to discuss a number of key issues, summarize the results of the work done, as well as outline new projects of mutual interest," Grigoryan said last week at an event held in Yerevan on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

Grigoryan emphasized that Iran is an important partner for Armenia, friendly and constructive relations with which not only develop for the benefit of the two peoples, but also serve as  a serious factor in ensuring stability and development in the entire region.

"In this context, I consider it important to emphasize that our government highly appreciates the clear position of Iran's top leadership regarding the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and inviolability of its borders," Grigoryan said.

He pointed out that Armenia is ready to make efforts towards further deepening of friendly relations with IRI for the benefit of the Armenian and Iranian peoples' welfare and regional peace. -0-
