Some 82 hectares of forests recovered in 2015

About 82 hectares of forests have been recovered in Armenia in the outgoing year, nature protection minister Aramayis Grigoryan told a news conference today. According to him, new trees have been planted on 31 hectares in Sevan and Dilijan national parks.
YEREVAN, December 23. /ARKA/. About 82 hectares of forests have been recovered in Armenia in the outgoing year, nature protection minister Aramayis Grigoryan told a news conference today. According to him, new trees have been planted on 31 hectares in Sevan and Dilijan national parks.
He said the ministry has helped also to complete a project designed specifically for Arpi Lich national park.
Apart from resolving a set of environmental problems the project resolved also social issues showing assistance to nearby communities, reconstructing water supply system of 11 villages and building an insemination station. -0-
