Sixty km long road to connect Armenian Sisisan with Kajaran
YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Construction of a 60 km long road that will connect the town of Sisian in the southeastern province of Syunik with Kajaran will kick off in the near future, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced today. He said the new road is part of the North-South road corridor.
He said there is progress in the construction of the Tallinn-Lanjik and Lanjik-Gyumri sections of the corridor.
‘Our focus will also be on the construction of the Ashtarak-Tallinn road section," he said.
Pashinyan said that at this stage there is an opportunity to implement programs jointly with the EU.
"The EU earlier expressed its readiness to provide Armenia with a financial package of 2.6 billion euros in the next 4 years. We have worked quite effectively and specified the programs for which we expect the participation and financing of EU partners," he said. --0--
