Service sector in Armenia grew by 5% to 745.6 billion drams in January-March
YEREVAN, May 10. /ARKA/. The volume of Armenia's services sector in January-March 2023 amounted to 745.6 billion drams (in current prices), increasing by 5% compared to the same period of 2023, the National Statistical Committee reports.
In March 2024 alone, the figure amounted to 272.5 billion drams, up 4.7% compared to March last year and 5.1% compared to February 2024.
Financial and insurance services amounted to AMD 237.4 billion with a 19.5% increase compared to the same period last year.
The information and communications sector rose to 138.9 billion drams with a 2.9% decrease, transportation sector increased by 17% to 79.3 billion drams, accommodation and catering services increased by 6.6% to 69.9 billion drams.
Health and social services increased by 9.1% to AMD 36.5 billion, while professional, scientific and technical services rose by almost 14% to AMD 36.6 billion.
Administrative and support services rose 6.9% to AMD 23.9 billion, and education services rose 7.4% to AMD 20.5 billion. ($1 - AMD 388.01) -0-.
