YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. Armenia's Foreign Intelligence Service (FIS) has assessed the impact of Western sanctions against Russia on the Armenian economy in 2026.

"It is highly likely that a significant portion of the sanctions imposed against Russia will remain in place, which will continue to pose risks to the Armenian economy, including in terms of secondary economic sanctions," states the FIS report "On the Risks to Armenia's External Security" for 2026, exclusively provided to Armenpress.

According to the document, ongoing polarization between individual geopolitical centers will likely exacerbate the risks associated with balancing Armenia's foreign policy and economic relations. -0-
