Russian President Vladimir Putin told Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Russian gas is cheaper for Armenia than it is in Europe.
YEREVAN, April 1. /ARKA/. Russian President Vladimir Putin told Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan that Russian gas is cheaper for Armenia than it is in Europe.
"Currently, energy prices, for example, gas prices in Europe, are skyrocketing to over $600 per thousand cubic meters, while Russia sells gas to Armenia for $177.5 per thousand cubic meters," Putin noted at a meeting with Pashinyan in the Kremlin on Wednesday.
According to him, the difference is significant.
"We often argue here. I know you insist on some other methods for determining energy prices, but this is still a different order of magnitude: $600 versus $177.5," Putin said.
