Russia remains Armenia’s leading foreign economic partner, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a briefing in Yerevan on Tuesday after a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.
YEREVAN, October 24. /ARKA/. Russia remains Armenia’s leading foreign economic partner, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said at a briefing in Yerevan on Tuesday after a meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan.
According to him, after the talks, the parties were convinced that relations in all directions are developing, and bilateral trade is growing at a good pace.
"Our joint ventures operate in all sectors, including high technologies, energy, construction, and telecommunications. We have outlined plans for the future," Medvedev said.
He also noted that cooperation in the humanitarian sphere is also developing; in particular, Russia is preparing to hold the Days of Armenian Culture in November, and a number of new projects in the humanitarian sphere are envisaged.
According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia's trade with Russia in the first 8 months of 2017 amounted to $991.7 million dollars. --0--
