Russia is able to meet all food needs of its CIS colleagues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the CIS leaders in Kyrgyzstan.
YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. Russia is able to meet all food needs of its CIS colleagues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the CIS leaders in Kyrgyzstan.
"I know that ur friends and colleagues in the CIS have such needs. Everything will be satisfied," the president promised.
He reminded that last year there was a historically record wheat harvest in Russia- 158 million tons. This year it will also be very large - over 130 million tons.
"This means that our export potential is very large. Russia is likely to retain its first place in the world in wheat exports. Grain exports swill be at least 50-60 million tons," Putin specified. -0-
