Refinancing rate in Armenia will continue to decline - EDB

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) expects Armenia’s Central Bank to continue cutting the refinancing rateg.
YEREVAN, November 6. /ARKA/. The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) expects Armenia’s Central Bank to continue cutting the refinancing rateg.
On October 31, the Central Bank of Armenia lowered the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points to 9.5%. That was the fourth lowering of the refinancing rate since the beginning of the year.
"The October 31 decision was made against the backdrop of low inflation and easing external price pressures. The trajectory of the rate is broadly in line with our forecasts, and under the prevailing conditions we can expect a continuation of its decline," the EDB analysts said in their weekly macro review. -0-
