In 2023, the average salary in Armenia grew by 14.6% compared to previous year, while real wages increased by 12.4%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
YEREVAN, May 29. /ARKA/. In 2023, the average salary in Armenia grew by 14.6% compared to previous year, while real wages increased by 12.4%, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said.
He explained that by real wage increase, he means the increase in the amount of the money received by citizens minus inflation.
“It is important to note that compared to 2018, real wages increased by 30.4% by the end of 2023,” the prime minister said in parliament.
According to the National Statistical Committee, the average monthly nominal salary increased by 14.6% in 2023 to AMD 269,994.-0-
