YEREVAN, March 16. /ARKA/. Pensioners in Armenia who have not chosen a bank themselves will be able to find out which bank they will receive their pensions from, according to the RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.

"As of March 5, 2026, for pensioners receiving their pensions in cash and who have not submitted an application to switch to cashless payment, the Unified Social Service automatically selected the bank using a software module," the statement noted.

The Ministry of Social Affairs stated that to obtain information about your bank, you should visit the website - https://online.ssa.am/index.php?r=pension-payer%2Findex and enter your social card number (or the number of the certificate indicating its absence) or passport information (or ID card) in the appropriate fields, then click "Search." The department notes that pensions and benefits will be paid at an increased rate starting April 1, and as a result of a 20% cashback for non-cash transactions, the pension or benefit amount may increase by an additional 10,000 drams.

Earlier, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced that a pension increase of 10,000 drams is planned starting April 1, 2026. According to him, relatively low pensions will increase by 10,000 drams, while higher pensions will increase to a lesser extent.

About cashback on benefits and pensions

Since July 1, 2022, a cashback program for non-cash payments for purchases and utilities has been in effect for pensioners and benefit recipients in Armenia. By government decision, the program has been extended until December 31, 2026.

Initially, the cashback was 10% of the monthly amount spent (up to a maximum of 5,000 drams per month), later increasing to 12% (up to a maximum of 6,000 drams). Effective January 1, 2026, the cashback amount was increased to 20% (up to a maximum of 10,000 drams). Payments are made by the 25th of the month following the reporting month.
