YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Armenia is very close to the point where Russia will have to restructure its economic relations with it, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk stated in an interview with TASS.
He acknowledged that at bilateral meetings, as well as within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), "Armenian leaders speak of friendship with Russia and assure their commitment to the EAEU."
"On our part, the discussions are frank and always respectful. At the same time, comparing words with actions, one comes to the conclusion that our colleagues are very close to the point where we will have to restructure our economic relations with this country," he added.
Overchuk noted that the Russian government, by virtue of its authority, "is concerned about the prospects for the future state of trade and economic relations with Armenia." "Considering the announcement of the sale of the concession (of the Armenian railway - ed.), the general understanding of the regional context, and the Armenian leadership's policy of rapprochement with the EU, serious questions arise regarding their future," he stated.
