YEREVAN, September 25. /ARKA/. Gazprom Armenia CJSC announces the resumption of natural gas supplies from Russia to Armenia.
"Scheduled repairs on the North Caucasus - Transcaucasia main gas pipeline (DN 1400) in the Stavropol Krai of the Russian Federation were completed ahead of schedule, and gas supply to Armenia was restored at 1:00 PM on September 25," the company reported.
Gazprom-Armenia CJSC is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Russian holding company Gazprom and the monopoly supplier of natural gas from Russia to Armenia for domestic consumption. Gas supplies are transited through Georgia; the price of Russian gas at the border is $165 per 1,000 cubic meters.
In Armenia, the company also carries out transportation, storage, distribution and sale of gas, as well as reconstruction and expansion of the gas transmission system and underground gas storage facilities.
