In Armenia, 19,064 people died in January-September 2025, a 0.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia (Armstat).
YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. In Armenia, 19,064 people died in January-September 2025, a 0.6% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia (Armstat).
More than half of the deaths (51.4%, or 9,795 people) were due to circulatory diseases, a 2.5% decrease compared to the first nine months of 2024.
Neoplasms are the second leading cause of death (19.8%, or 3,768 people, a 3.5% decrease). Other causes of death included respiratory diseases (10.3% or 1,974 people, an increase of 11.1%), diseases of the digestive system (4.7% or 899 people, a decrease of 9.2%), accidents and poisoning (3.7% or 701 people, a decrease of 10.2%), diseases of the endocrine system (2.1% or 400 people, an increase of 17.3%), and infectious diseases (1.4% or 259 people, an increase of 43.1%).
