In Armenia, 17,210 people died from January to July 2025, a 0.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. In Armenia, 17,210 people died from January to July 2025, a 0.8% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of Armenia.
More than half of the deaths (51.8%, or 8,908 people) were due to circulatory diseases, a 2.3% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.
Neoplasms are the second leading cause of death (19.5%, or 3,360 people, a 2.7% decrease).
Other causes of death also included respiratory diseases (10.5% or 1,802 people, an increase of 12.4%), diseases of the digestive system (4.7% or 804 people, a decrease of 10.3%), external causes (3.6% or 620 people, a decrease of 10.3%), diseases of the endocrine system (2.1% or 364 people, an increase of 16.3%), and infectious diseases (1.3% or 233 people, an increase of 46.5%).
