YEREVAN, February 6. /ARKA/. The volume of production in Armenia's manufacturing industry in 2024 amounted to 2,153,112.5 million drams, marking an increase of 6.5% compared to 2023. This data was published by the National Statistical Committee of Armenia.

In December 2024, this figure stood at 249,509.6 million drams, showing an 18% decline compared to December 2023, but a 21.6% increase compared to November 2024.

The largest share in the overall industry structure for the past year was held by food production, which accounted for 32.6%. This segment saw a growth of 5.6%, with products valued at 701,785.8 million drams produced. The top five sectors by share also include basic metal production (21.2% share, 38.4% growth, and 455,572.6 million drams), beverage production (10.2% share, 3.9% decline, and 220,566.8 million drams), tobacco products (9.2% share, 12.6% growth, and 198,013.3 million drams), and the production of other non-metallic mineral products (8.7% share, 16.8% decline, and 188,038.8 million drams).

Other significant sectors include rubber and plastic products (2.3% share, 6.8% growth, and 48,700.9 million drams), printing and replication of recorded information (2.1% share, 3.5% growth, and 44,941.6 million drams), clothing production (1.9% share, 3.3% decline, and 40,380.9 million drams), and paper products (1.6% share, 2.4% growth, and 33,677.0 million drams).

Electric equipment production (1.5% share, 55.8% growth, and 31,534.0 million drams) and finished metal products (1.3% share, 16.2% growth, and 27,176.6 million drams) also had notable shares. Chemical industry products, however, declined by 15.7%, with a production volume of 18,943.0 million drams, accounting for 0.9% of the total.

Production of machinery and equipment not classified elsewhere (0.8% share, 14.2% decline, and 17,870.5 million drams) and furniture production (0.8% share, 13.1% growth, and 17,737.2 million drams) are also noteworthy.

Additional sectors include machinery repair and installation (0.7% share, 3.8% growth, and 15,371.4 million drams), basic pharmaceutical products (0.6% share, 10.8% growth, and 12,599.2 million drams), and computers, electronic, and optical products (0.5% share, 31% growth, and 10,352.3 million drams).

Textile production (0.2% share, 2.8% decline, and 5,114.7 million drams) and leather goods (0.2% share, 11.6% decline, and 4,091.4 million drams) showed decreases in production.

Wood processing (0.1% share, 22.5% growth, and 2,773.4 million drams) and other product categories accounted for 2.6% of the total.

Overall, the volume of industrial production in Armenia for 2024 was 2,998,370.2 million drams (at current prices), reflecting a 4.7% increase compared to 2023. ($1 = 396.58 drams)
