Manufacturing production in January 2026 amounted to 129,775.9 million drams, an increase of 4.3% compared to January 2025 and a decrease of 69.3% compared to December 2025.
YEREVAN, March 9. /ARKA/. Manufacturing production in January 2026 amounted to 129,775.9 million drams, an increase of 4.3% compared to January 2025 and a decrease of 69.3% compared to December 2025. This is evidenced by data published by the Statistical Committee.
Food production accounted for the largest share of the overall industry structure in January, accounting for 27%. This segment showed a 0.2% increase compared to January of the previous year, producing 35 million drams worth of products. The top five by share also include the production of basic metals: share - 20.1%, growth of 2.2%, volume - 26 million drams; production of tobacco products: share - 16.7%, decline of 3.5%, volume - 21.6 million drams; production of beverages: share - 9.6%, growth of 3.3%, volume - 12.5 million drams; production of other non-metallic mineral products: share - 4.3%, decline of 24.4%, volume - 5.6 million drams.

chemical industry production (4% share, 3.2-fold increase, 5.1 billion drams in volume),
electrical equipment production (2.8% share, 56.4% increase, 3.6 billion drams in volume),
printing and replication of recorded media (2.2% share, 1.3% decline, 2.9 billion drams in volume),
clothing production (2% share, 7% increase, 2.65 billion drams in volume),
rubber and plastic products production (2% share, 13.2% decline, 2.6 billion drams in volume),
computer, electronic, and optical product production (1.4% share, 2.9-fold increase, 1.84 billion drams in volume),
paper and paper product production 1.4% (down 15.6%, value - 1.82 billion drams),
