A Japanese delegation, led  by Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yumi Yoshikawa visited the National Agrarian University of Armenia on Wednesday, the Armenian Economy Ministry said in a press release.

YEREVAN, April 4. /ARKA/. A Japanese delegation, led by Japanese Deputy Foreign Minister Yumi Yoshikawa visited the National Agrarian University of Armenia on Wednesday, the Armenian Economy Ministry said in a press release.

It said the Japanese delegation was accompanied by Armenia's Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan.

This university, in cooperation with the Japanese government, has introduced a greenhouse infrastructure to teach students the latest technologies.

The guests visited an innovative greenhouse, wine chemistry laboratory and tasting room of the EVN Academy, where they tasted the Serund wine produced by the university as well as EVN wines. The sides then discussed expanding cooperation in agriculture and educational reforms, according to the university's website.

In the near future, with the assistance of the Japanese government, the Center for Smart Farming and the Educational Center for Machinery will open at the Sisian branch of the university.

The Japanese delegation also included Ichiba Hiroaki, Director of Central Asia and Caucasus Division of the Bureau of European Affairs of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Fukushima Masanori, Japanese Ambassador to Armenia, and other officials. --0—
