Inflation in Armenia Stands at 4.3% in February

In February 2026, compared to February 2025, inflation in Armenia was 4.3%, and compared to January 2026, it was 0.5%.

YEREVAN, March 4. /ARKA/. In February 2026, compared to February 2025, inflation in Armenia was 4.3%, and compared to January 2026, it was 0.5%. This is according to a report from the Statistical Committee.

In February 2026, compared to February 2025, prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 6.5%, and by 1.0% over the month.

In February, prices for alcoholic and tobacco products increased by 10.3% year-over-year, and by 1.7% compared to January of this year. Clothing and footwear prices increased by 0.6% in February (a 0.5% decline over the month), while prices in the housing services, water, electricity, gas, and other fuels category increased by 0.5% (a 0.2% decline over the month).

Prices for household goods, appliances, and daily household care activities decreased by 0.1% in February year-on-year and increased by 0.1% over the month. In the healthcare sector, price growth was 4.5% over the year (a 2.0% increase over the month), transportation increased by 3.6% (a 2.0% decline over the month), and communications increased by 0.3% over the year (a 0.2% decline over the month). In February, prices for recreation and culture decreased by 0.4% year-on-year (up 1.0% month-on-month), in education, growth was 8.3% (up 0% month-on-month), in restaurants and hotels, by 4.0% (up 0.8% month-on-month), and for various goods and services, by 2.6% (up 0.3% month-on-month).

Moreover, according to statistics, prices in the non-food market increased by 0.9% in February 2024 compared to February 2023, and decreased by 0.2% compared to January of this year.
Furthermore, tariffs for services for the population increased by 3.2% year-on-year in February 2024, while a 0.3% decline was recorded month-on-month.

Armenia's 2026 state budget projects economic growth at 5.4%. According to the Central Bank's monetary policy report for the fourth quarter of last year, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be 4.7-7% by the end of 2026, depending on scenario (A-B), and 5-6.2% in 2027.
