Industrial output in Armenia decreased by 10.4% in January to AMD 190.5 bln

Industrial output in Armenia in January 2025 amounted to AMD 190,547.0 million (in current prices), down by 10.4% compared to January 2024 and by 41.3% compared to December 2024, the National Statistical Committee said.

YEREVAN, March 7. /ARKA/. Industrial output in Armenia in January 2025 amounted to AMD 190,547.0 million (in current prices), down by 10.4% compared to January 2024 and by 41.3% compared to December 2024, the National Statistical Committee said.

The output in the mining industry and open-pit mines in the first month of this year amounted to AMD 34,084.4 million (a 9.3% decline compared to January 2024), and in the manufacturing industry – to AMD 115,793.5 million (a 16.2% decline).

The volume of electricity, natural gas, steam and purified air supplies amounted to 38,273.9 million drams (an increase of 9.9%), and the water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling to 31,501.6 million drams (a decrease of 0.2%).

The largest share in the industrial production in January 2025 was contributed by the manufacturing industry – 60.8%. The share of electricity, gas, steam and purified air supplies is 20.1%, that of the mining industry and open-pit mining – 17.9%, and that of water supply, sewerage, waste management and recycling – 1.2%.
