In 2025, Armenia generated 10,010.3 million kWh of electricity, a 6.7% increase compared to 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee.
YEREVAN, February 11. /ARKA/. In 2025, Armenia generated 10,010.3 million kWh of electricity, a 6.7% increase compared to 2024, according to data published by the Statistical Committee.
The largest share of electricity generated – 33.6% – came from thermal power plants (TPPs), which generated 3,360.9 million kWh, a 4.4% decrease. The Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (2,914.9 million kWh, a 3% increase) accounted for 29.1%, while hydroelectric power plants (2,106.4 million kWh, a 2.3% increase) accounted for 21%.
Solar power plants (16.3% share) generated 1,626.8 million kWh of electricity last year (up 66.9%), while wind power plants (0.02% share) generated 1.2 million kWh (down 3%).
Starting in 2023, electricity production volumes also include electricity generated by autonomous power producers through power flows.
