YEREVAN, April 6. /ARKA/. Growing interest in government bonds from foreign investors has recently become the main driver of the Armenian capital market, Anna Kazaryan, Head of Equity Research at Sirius Capital, stated in an interview with ARKA news agency.

"The Armenian capital market is primarily a bond market. In March, reflecting the external environment, we saw a slight increase in yields in the local market. Prior to this, there had been a structural trend of declining yields in Armenia for a long time," she said.

Speaking about the key results of the first quarter of 2026 for the Armenian capital market, Kazaryan noted that the main achievement of the quarter was the yield at the auction of five-year government bonds reaching 7.5% in dram currency, a low in several years.
